Un tableau que j'ai créé avec l'aide d'un canevas imprimé
préexistant, issu du recyclage.
Le canevas a été modifié par des gouttes de pluie, qui ont
créé un effet de matière intéressant sur l'encre de l'impression.
J'y ai ajouté une végétalisation des principaux immeubles de
Manhattan, au petit pinceau.
Ce tableau représente une vue de l'île de Manhattan future,
colonisée par une végétation de jungle envahissante et
destructrice. Elle est un juste retour des choses, un renversement
de l'aggression vis à vis de la planète par la pollution.
On peut même imaginer que New York soit à l'origine de sa
propre chute, ayant créé par sa pollution et son effet de serre
des végétaux et algues ou mousses rampantes, colonisatrices
qui ne sont pas un retour au paradis originel mais bien la fin
de la civilisation, ou de l'humanité, les seules espèces
existantes résistantes étant des végétaux de jungle.
La pluie qui a souillé le tableau est aussi un allusion très concrète
à l'humidité de l'air qui en découlerait, comme une "rainforest urbaine".
Ce tableau est un cadre de 1m x 50 cm.

A tableau I created with the help of a preexisting
printed canvas, from recycling.
The canvas has been modified by raindrops,
which have created an interesting effect on the
print of the canvas.
I added some vegetable invasion on the main
buildings of Manhattan, by handpainting them.
This tableau represents a futuristic view of the
island of Manhattan, colonized by a rampant
jungle vegetation, which destroys the buildings
of concrete and glass. It's an upturning of the
current aggression of cities to nature, and a
retaliation. We could even imagine that New York
would have created their own doom,
with the greenhouse effect and pollution, which
gives birth to plants and algae lichens and mosses
whose colonizing cannot be controled.
This is not a return to the original Eden, but
the end of civilization, or humanity, the only species
remaining being jungle ones.
The rain has soiled the tableau, as a direct
reference to a rainforest, and a reference to
the high level of humidity that such vegetation
would entail, like an urban rainy forest, or
rainforest.
This tableau is 1m x 50 cm
